My name is Ugochukwu Odinakachukwu. I am an efficient, innovative, and analytically-minded data analyst, business intelligence analyst, and data consultant. I am equipped to help businesses solve problems, become more profitable, and train the next generation of data analysts.

I didn’t start my tech journey as a Data Analyst or a Business Analyst after graduating from the university. Instead, I began as a Junior Programmer/Software Developer over a decade ago, after completing a 12-month Computer Programming course. During this course, I learned software development using programming languages such as VB.Net and C#. Additionally, I learned relational database management systems with SQL database servers, and software deployment.

Through my journey working as a computer programmer/software developer, I honed my skills in writing codes, working with data, building databases, and deploying software. I also gained knowledge and skills in data sourcing, application GUI design, and project documentation. I developed soft skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and team management. I also gained experience in website design, graphic design, and branding.

I was part of a team that designed and deployed a popular Fixed Asset Management software, customized and deployed for several multinational companies in Nigeria and other African countries. We also managed and maintained this software for the organizations after deployment. Our tasks included gathering data on the physical fixed assets of these organizations from their head offices and numerous branches. We were able to build databases from this information, enabling us to know the status of any/all of their physical fixed assets anywhere, and many other pieces of information with just a click of one or a few buttons on applications we developed and customized for them. These data, along with the applications we developed, helped them have a proper inventory of their fixed assets, plan and manage their fixed assets better, and save money.

I developed a keen interest in data and its potential after seeing the results we achieved working with data. I carried out lots of research and found out I could do more with data than combining it with building applications and deploying them for clients. This led me to transition into Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Analytics, where I can help organizations not only in cutting down their running costs but also in generating more revenue.
